About the Founder

Cassandre " Cassie " Papillon

I started this Project because Trou-Bois deserves Safety, Dignity, and Hope. Every Night, our community walks in complete darkness.

Bringing 1,000 Solar-Powered Streetlights will save lives, protect families, and light the path to a brighter future.

Mwen Lanse Pwoje sa a Paske Trou-Bois merite sekirite, diyite, ak espwa. Chak swa, Kominote nou an mache nan fenwa total.

Le nou enstale 1,000 limye sole, n ap sove lavi, pwoteje fanmi yo, epi klere chemen pou yon avni ki pi bel.

Our Story

How Solar Streetlight Work -Kijan Limye Pano Solèy Fonksyone

What Is a Solar Streetlight?

A solar streetlight uses energy from the sun to produce bright, reliable light at night. It charges during the day and turns on automatically when it gets dark. Each light includes:

  • ✔️ A solar panel
  • ✔️ A long-lasting battery
  • ✔️ A powerful LED lamp
  • ✔️ A built-in sensor that turns the light on at night
  • ✔️ A pole or mounting system

Solar streetlights work without electricity, making them perfect for communities like Trou-Bois where nights are completely dark. They increase safety, prevent accidents, support families walking at night, and protect the most vulnerable.

Kisa ki Limyè Pano Solèy Lari Ye?

Limyè solè lari se yon limyè ki sèvi ak enèji solèy pou bay bon limyè nan lannwit. Li chaje pandan lajounen epi li limen otomatikman lè fènwa tonbe. Chak limyè genyen:

  • ✔️ Yon panèl solè
  • ✔️ Yon batri ki dire lontan
  • ✔️ Yon lanp LED ki klere fò
  • ✔️ Yon detektè ki limen limyè a nan lannwit
  • ✔️ Yon poto oswa sipò pou monte l

Limyè solè pa bezwen kouran. Se poutèt sa yo pafè pou Trou-Bois, kote lannwit lan konplètman nwa. Yo ogmante sekirite, anpeche aksidan, ede fanmi ki ap mache nan fènwa, epi pwoteje moun ki pi vilnerab yo.

About Group Jeune De Trou-bois

The Story of Group Jeune De Trou-Bois

Founded in 2021 By Cassie and my Haitian sister Carmene,

Group Jeune de Trou-Bois was created to bring hope, unity, and action to our community.

Our first major mission began in 2021 after the devastating earthquake in the south of Haiti. Partnering with a well-known international NGO and several generous donors, our youth team organized one of the largest community-led crisis responses in our area. Together, we distributed over 1,000 emergency food kits to families across impacted neighborhoods.

Since then, Group Jeune has continued to serve with love and compassion by:

✨ Organizing holiday celebrations and support programs for children in the orphanage

✨ Running youth-led community clean-up activities in Trou-Bois

✨ Feeding children and supporting vulnerable families

✨ Leading projects that restore safety, dignity, and hope

Today, Group Jeune proudly stands behind the Let’s Light Up Trou-Bois Project, working to install 1,000 solar-powered streetlights and bring lasting safety to every home and road in our community.

When youth rise, the whole community rises.

Group Jeune is proof of that.

ISTWA GROUP JEUNE De TROU-BOIS

An patenarya ak yon ONG entènasyonal ki byen renome ak plizyè gwo donatè, ekip jèn nou an te òganize youn nan pi gwo repons kriz nan zòn nan. Ansanm, nou te distribye plis pase 1,000 kit manje ijans bay fanmi ki te afekte nan plizyè katye.

Depi lè sa a, Group Jeune kontinye sèvi ak lanmou, lidèchip, ak konpasyon atravè:

✨ Òganize fèt ak pwogram sipò pou timoun nan òfelina a

✨ Fè aktivite netwayaj kominotè dirije pa jèn yo nan Trou-Bois

✨ Bay manje bay timoun ak sipòte fanmi ki nan nesesite

✨ Mennen pwojè ki pote sekirite, diyite, ak espwa.

Jodi a, Group Jeune fyè dèske li kanpe dèyè pwojè An Nou Klere Trou-Bois, ki vize mete 1,000 limyè solè pou klere  tout lari, ak tout chemen andan nan kominote nou an.

Lè jèn yo leve kanpe, se tout kominote a ki leve.

Group Jeune se Espwa Pou Demain

Culture is a way of coping with the world by defining it in detail.
